Machinist 1 (Tube Shop) - 2nd Shift

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; on-site, 2nd shift.

Hourly pay: $16.70–$27.83 USD.

What you will do

• Plan assignments, lay out work, set up, operate, and adjust conventional or automatic machines.
• Use blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to cut and shape metal to precision dimensions.
• Inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
• Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions when needed.
• Partner with the machine shop, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and technical operations teams.

Requirements

• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Machine shop experience and the ability to add and subtract decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to remain stationary for approximately 60% of the workday and position objects at different heights.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and follow safety practices when handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
• Applicants are generally expected to reside in a state where MKS is registered to do business; some positions may require U.S. person status due to ITAR or EAR-controlled technology.
