Machinist (Manufacturing)

Location: Alexandria, Minnesota, United States of America; onsite manufacturing shop.

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and prior experience.

What you will do

• Operate production-cell equipment, including lathes, saws, CNC machines, grinders, and related machinery.
• Load, run, unload, and inspect parts according to prints and quality standards.
• Maximize machine setups and tooling while meeting or exceeding production rates.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as requested.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and maintain 5S and safety practices.
• Work with cell personnel and assist with training when requested.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar shop setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to meet quality expectations and perform dimensional inspections.
• Good communication skills, teamwork, and regular attendance.
• Ability to stand for most of a 10-hour workday, bend, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safety glasses with side shields and leather footwear are required in the shop.
