IT Business Analyst

Location: City of London, London, United Kingdom

Salary: £65,000–£70,000 per annum

What you will do

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions across multiple business functions.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Support the design and delivery of cloud-based, data-driven, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Work with development, architecture, and project delivery teams throughout solution implementation.
• Define and support user acceptance testing, process improvement, system optimisation, and innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Technology Consultant.
• Experience delivering technology and transformation projects in complex business environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, business process analysis, requirements management, and solution design skills.
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern application architectures.
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, Databricks, Power BI, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or cloud transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, cloud-native solutions, Python, or other scripting and programming languages.
• Experience in energy, commodities, financial services, telecommunications, or other regulated and fast-paced sectors.
• Exposure to trading platforms, risk systems, or ETRM applications.
