Wealth Management Accounting Associate (Fintech)

What you will do

• Perform daily and weekly cash management activities and account reconciliations for Wealth Management entities.
• Support monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany balance resolution.
• Analyze financial data, trends, and results to create reporting and visualizations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Support external audit and regulatory examination requests.
• Maintain internal controls and support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and Financial Responsibility Rule requirements.
• Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance reporting and efficiency through automation and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, broker-dealer operations, regulatory reporting, audit, controls, treasury, reconciliations, or related financial services functions.
• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, PivotTables, data analysis, and large financial datasets.
• Successful completion of a non-registered fingerprint background check and qualification as a fingerprinted person under FINRA requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and professional judgment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience with broker-dealers, financial services, or regulated financial organizations.
• Experience with Alteryx or other data analytics and automation tools.
• Knowledge of accounting controls, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting requirements.
• Progress toward CPA certification.
