Associate Manager, Private Equity & FoF Accounting

Location: New York City, United States (hybrid)

Salary: $70,000–$135,000 USD base salary per year, with possible discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for assigned funds.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accounting records, financial statements, investor reports, and ad-hoc client reporting.
• Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries and maintain client relationships.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, and compliance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support onboarding of new clients and funds, internal controls, audits, and documentation requests.
• Help implement accounting best practices and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of fund accounting experience with knowledge of hedge funds, private equity, fund of funds, mutual funds, or similar investment vehicles.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with fund accounting software such as Advent Geneva, Sungard Investran, or SS&C HiPortfolio, plus Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• CPA or CFA designation.
• At least one year of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
