Investment Accounting Analyst

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $60,880–$91,320 per year. Geographic-specific pay structures may apply in eligible locations.

What you will do

• Prepare the investment sections of quarterly and annual statements for state insurance regulators and audited financial statements.
• Complete monthly closing activities in the Portfolio Asset Management securities system.
• Record and reconcile investment assets, income, gains, and losses using statutory accounting and U.S. GAAP principles.
• Support monthly data integrity processes and verify investment deals and transactions across departments.
• Prepare periodic reports and coordinate with external business partners to ensure reporting accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting controls, and investment instruments.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Excel.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to investments.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting financial reports.
