Technical Program Mgr

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States. Hybrid working environment with in-office and/or in-person expectations.

Salary: $170,000–$253,000 USD per year, with final compensation based on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Lead large, cross-functional programs across engineering, product management, QA, operations, business, and finance.
• Define program scope, goals, deliverables, success metrics, schedules, milestones, risks, and resource plans.
• Coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitate program reviews, and resolve organizational and technical challenges.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, stakeholder expectations, and executive communications.
• Drive improvements to program management practices, tools, methodologies, productivity, and scalability.
• Track KPIs, report program performance, and document lessons learned through post-mortem analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience in program management, project management, or related roles, preferably in the technology industry.
• Strong technical background with the ability to discuss architectures, technical concepts, feasibility, and trade-offs.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or MS Project.
• Excellent communication, organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or M.S. in a technical or business discipline.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, storage systems, or enterprise data management solutions.
• Project or program management certification such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, or SAFe.
