TL;DR

Focus on resolving complex access and affordability issues, building provider relationships, managing territory logistics, and collaborating across J&J teams.

Location: Field-based territory covering Mississippi and Arkansas; permanent residence in the listed territory required. At least 50% on-site engagement with healthcare providers, up to 50% travel, and occasional overnight stays.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, coding, coverage, and payer requirements for oncology products.
  • Provide field-based reimbursement and access support, resolve patient access and affordability issues, and address complex reimbursement scenarios.
  • Build trusted relationships with oncology accounts and collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and other internal teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicare, Medicaid managed care, commercial payers, pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Manage territory routing, logistics, account planning, market dynamics, and knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
  • Execute business activities in accordance with legal, ethical, compliance, and training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including account management or reimbursement work in provider office settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, revenue cycle, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Experience with patient support hub services, relationship building, cross-functional collaboration, influence, and complex problem-solving.
  • Valid US driver’s license, compliant driving record, and permanent residence in the Mississippi/Arkansas territory required.
  • Ability to engage healthcare providers primarily in person, travel up to 50%, and occasionally stay overnight required.

Nice to have

  • Oncology disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, payer policy, reimbursement, coding, coverage, and payment.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
