TL;DR
Executive Oncology Sales Representative – Head & Neck (Bay Area - Central Coast) – Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (Oncology): Selling oncology therapeutics and providing clinical, account, and reimbursement support across the assigned Bay Area–Central Coast territory with an accent on head and neck oncology, customer-specific account strategies, and compliant sales execution. Focus on developing hospital and large-account partnerships, navigating complex reimbursement issues, and achieving territory sales objectives through field-based customer engagement.

Location: Field-based role covering the Bay Area–Central Coast territory; candidates must reside in the geography or be willing to relocate to it. Travel, including overnight and weekend travel, is required.

Base pay: $111,000–$185,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Sell current and potential oncology therapeutics within approved specialties and customer accounts.
  • Explain product clinical efficacy and value propositions, and provide approved clinical information and support.
  • Analyze business opportunities, prospect within assigned accounts, and develop account strategies with the District Manager and internal partners.
  • Create customer-specific pre-call and post-call plans using approved materials and sales tools.
  • Build account penetration, negotiate sales, and close orders to achieve territory objectives.
  • Discuss access and reimbursement options compliantly to improve treatment and sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Residence in the assigned geography or willingness to relocate to it.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed, including overnight and weekend travel.
  • At least two years of successful pharmaceutical, biologic, biotech, or medical device sales experience, or recent transition from active-duty military service.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, customer-centricity, and sales planning skills.

Nice to have

  • Specialty sales experience and knowledge of solid tumor and oncology markets.
  • Hospital and large-account sales experience.
  • Experience with complex reimbursement issues and Medicare Part D.
  • Documented success in competitive sales environments.
  • Interest in learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
