TL;DR
Field Reimbursement Manager, Oncology (Patient Engagement & Customer Solutions): Supporting healthcare providers and office staff with reimbursement, coding, claims, access, and affordability for oncology therapies with an accent on payer policies, pharmacy and medical benefits, and patient support services. Focus on resolving complex access barriers, analyzing reimbursement data, managing territory relationships, and collaborating across sales, managed care, medical, and compliance functions.

Location: Field-based territory covering Saint Paul, Minnesota; Eau Claire and Appleton, Wisconsin; and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Permanent residence in the listed territory is required. Travel up to 75% of the time, with up to 50% of working time spent on-site with healthcare providers.

Base pay: $102,000–$177,100 per year.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, payer procedures, and access requirements.
  • Resolve patient access, fulfillment, affordability, prior authorization, billing, and appeals issues.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal medical, marketing, compliance, and patient-support functions.
  • Use account management, quantitative data, and market insights to identify access barriers and develop timely solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with academic centers, community hospitals, oncology clinics, and oncology group practices.
  • Manage territory routing, logistics, account planning, training, and compliant field execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in account management, reimbursement, managed care, or provider-office operations.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, including buy-and-bill, assignment of benefits, coding, billing, prior authorizations, and appeals.
  • Experience working with patient support hub services and healthcare provider offices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Valid US driver’s license and permanent residence in the listed field territory required.

Nice to have

  • Oncology disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer initiatives, and pharmaceutical reimbursement policies.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
