Machine Shop Value Stream Manager (Space and Defense)

Salary: $115,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the Machine Shop Value Stream.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Manage machine shop resources, staffing plans, budgets, capacity planning, workflow, and capital investments.
• Coach and develop leaders and employees while building a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other functions to improve processes and meet customer commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or business discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, or a technical environment.
• At least 7 years of direct supervision or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of machine shop operations, machining processes, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience with capacity planning, resource management, budgeting, capital investment planning, communication, problem-solving, and project management.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
