Collateral Management Specialist II (Mortgage)

Salary: $40,000–$60,000 per year

What you will do

• Review collateral files for newly boarded purchased loans, including notes, mortgages, assignments, riders, addendums, and title insurance policies.
• Resolve escalated collateral reviews and exceptions, and help sellers clear or cure collateral issues.
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments.
• Coordinate with foreclosure attorneys to obtain active bailee letters.
• Order collateral documents from vendors and create documents such as allonges and endorsements.
• Participate in maintaining departmental policies and procedures and perform related assigned duties.

Requirements

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience, preferably in loan servicing.
• Familiarity with collateral document files, including notes, mortgages, assignments, riders, addendums, and title insurance policies.
• Ability to learn and train others on collateral management tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
