Manager, Project Engineering - Integrated Solutions (Solar)

Location: Fremont, California, USA; onsite

Annual target total cash compensation: $180,000–$200,000, including base salary and target commission. The role is also eligible for equity.

Develops intelligent solar tracker, control software, integrated solar equipment, engineering services, and data-driven solutions for utility-scale power plants.

What you will do

• Lead and develop project engineers supporting integrated distributed-generation solar projects ranging from 5 MW to 30 MW.
• Direct tracker layouts, CAD blocks, mechanical and electrical design packages, eBOS designs, and construction plan sets.
• Evaluate site information, customer requirements, codes, standards, and project constraints to define engineering approaches.
• Resolve interfaces among trackers, foundations, inverters, eBOS equipment, modules, civil works, and other system components.
• Develop engineering standards, procedures, templates, review criteria, automation tools, and data-quality practices.
• Partner with structural, geotechnical, civil, electrical, product, manufacturing, construction, operations, and project teams to improve cost, constructability, schedule, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field with 8–12 years of related experience; equivalent master’s, PhD, or education and experience combinations are also accepted.
• At least eight years of progressive engineering experience, including substantial solar, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or related industry experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities for utility-scale, distributed-generation, or complex solar projects.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or technically leading engineers and developing scalable engineering processes, quality reviews, and validation criteria.
• Advanced knowledge of solar project development, tracker layouts, civil and structural interfaces, electrical systems, eBOS, construction documentation, codes, and customer requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, together with strong project-management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure.
• Experience with solar tracker systems, integrated solar equipment, or the OneSource program.
• Experience with engineering automation, workflow standardization, data governance, or enterprise design platforms.
• Experience working with international teams, customers, suppliers, consultants, or construction partners.
