Supplier Development Engineer Co-Op (MedTech)

What you will do

• Standardize manufacturing defect characterization at incoming inspection to reduce recurring defects and improve identification.
• Support product development projects and coordinate actions related to new supplier requirements.
• Support the Quality at the Source program, including supplier yield improvement and qualification of supplier-facility inspections.
• Drive capacity, second-source, component obsolescence, and supplier risk-mitigation projects.
• Analyze defective incoming components and work with vendors on resolution.
• Manage supplier process validation and transfer product improvements into production using risk-based methods and Design for Manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree as a junior or senior, or a master's degree, in engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and planning.
• Ability to communicate clearly, prioritize tasks, and execute work without direct supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and project management concepts is beneficial.
• Must be permanently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.
