Sustaining Mechanical Engineer Intern (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts; applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation is not offered.

Salary: $27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Create and execute modifications to existing product designs using SolidWorks.
• Compare existing geometries to verify the form, fit, and function of revised designs.
• Develop SolidWorks assemblies, models, and drawing packages from concept sketches.
• Design and develop test fixtures.
• Execute product testing plans, collect data, and analyze results to verify designs.

Requirements

• At least two years of study in a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering program with excellent academic standing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Ability to work on-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, from within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

• Certified SolidWorks Associate certification.
• Experience building parts and assemblies with rapid prototyping or 3D printers.
• Experience with testing, test equipment, and data collection.
