Jr. .NET Engineer (.NET Core)

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The work model prioritizes in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET.
• Implement data-access solutions with LINQ, SQL, object-oriented programming, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and dependency injection.
• Test and debug APIs with Postman, Fiddler, and comparable tools; investigate issues and identify root causes.
• Use Git workflows, participate in code reviews, manage work through Jira, and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, Scrum, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams on maintainable software solutions.
• Support Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS environments, Redis caching, feature flags, and responsible AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• Knowledge of C# and .NET development, backend architecture, object-oriented programming, REST APIs, controllers, services, and business logic separation.
• Understanding of LINQ, SOLID principles, dependency injection, Git workflows, SQL, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Professional English communication skills for collaboration in a global environment.
• Foundational understanding of the software-development lifecycle, including local implementation and testing, source control, CI/CD, and deployment support.
• Ability to validate AI-generated outputs and follow secure coding and data-handling practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET 8 or .NET 10 and Clean Architecture.
• Knowledge of Redis, MySQL, Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, AWS, Fiddler, feature flags, design patterns, or Jira.
• Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools into software engineering workflows.
