TL;DR
Java Software Engineer (Java/Spring): Building and maintaining backend services using Java, REST, Spring, Hibernate, relational databases, messaging, Docker, and AWS with an accent on continuous integration, Agile delivery, and analytical problem-solving. Focus on developing distributed services, integrating Kafka and cloud tools, and working with containerized applications for Disney Entertainment & Sports.

Location: Remote in Mexico

Salary: Up to MXN 90,000 gross per month

hirify.global is hiring for a full-time Java software engineering role supporting Disney Entertainment & Sports LLC.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain backend services with Java, Spring Boot, REST, Hibernate, and relational databases.
  • Develop containerized applications using Docker and integrate AWS services.
  • Work with JMS messaging, Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL technologies.
  • Apply Continuous Integration concepts and tools within Agile development practices.
  • Use engineering and collaboration tools including Maven, Gradle, Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Postman, Jira, and Confluence.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, REST, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Docker, AWS, relational databases, and JMS messaging.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with backend development tools and workflows.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with focused, committed, and collaborative working habits.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kotlin, Kubernetes, MongoDB, NoSQL, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with the entertainment industry.
