Software Engineer (Cloud/AI)

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico; onsite

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support software for retail and enterprise platforms.
• Implement user stories, technical tasks, integrations, APIs, and platform enhancements in Agile delivery teams.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, and analysis.
• Participate in discovery activities, proof-of-concept development, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Support production deployments, post-release validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar modern programming languages.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems using Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL databases, source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and independent delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, or Vue.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.
• Experience in Agile or Dual-Track Agile environments and with retail, POS, payments, or commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of software quality, observability, operational support, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
