Senior Technical Program Manager I (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global's global headquarters. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. government export-control requirements also apply.

Salary: $116,800–$160,600 base salary annually. Total compensation, including equity: $137,075–$196,275 annually.

What you will do

• Lead high-volume satellite programs from concept and qualification through full-rate production and flight.
• Own program rate, yield, unit cost, technical roadmaps, and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate manufacturing, supply chain, integration, testing, and cross-functional program teams.
• Make architectural and design-for-manufacturing decisions involving takt time, line of balance, rate readiness, and reliability.
• Manage strategic suppliers and high-stakes subcontracts while protecting schedule and margin.
• Represent assigned commercial constellation customers and support business development proposals and technical narratives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
• 5+ years of program management experience with end-to-end ownership of a technical program, product, or team.
• Experience moving hardware and software from prototype development toward high-rate production with measurable yield, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Knowledge of takt time, line of balance, design-for-manufacturing, and learning-curve economics.
• Experience identifying and mitigating tooling, supply-chain, and yield risks.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling satellite, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex hardware production.
• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes into reliable full-rate production.
• Master’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, and requirements integrity.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ERP/MRP systems, or 8+ years in aerospace or defense.
