Senior Engineering Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Berlin, Germany; full-time, in-office position at the Berlin manufacturing hub 5 days per week

Salary: €86,600–€108,300 gross per year

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large constellation of imaging satellites and delivers satellite data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

• Lead satellite development programs from planning and requirements definition through critical design, build, testing, and launch.
• Manage program phases, schedules, budgets, performance tracking, and milestone communication.
• Coordinate technical plans, deliverables, and priorities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, suppliers, partners, vendors, and customers.
• Lead manufacturing ramp programs from factory readiness through key build phases and production.
• Develop tools and processes to measure and improve engineering productivity.
• Drive root-cause analysis, resolve complex engineering and manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant program management experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience managing hardware-system development and production ramp in a cross-functional engineering environment.
• Experience working with external contract manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written German and English.
• Ability to travel internationally, including to San Francisco approximately 2–3 times per year.

• Experience with satellite manufacturing and AI&T.
• Experience managing customers on satellite programs.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and data-driven strategy skills.
