Technical Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid or remote. U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent resident status, or protected person status is required due to access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.

Annual base salary: $180,000–$215,000 per year, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Execute spacecraft programs across proposal development, kickoff, development, testing, manufacturing, launch, and mission operations.
• Establish and manage integrated program schedules, budgets, risks, issues, opportunities, and performance baselines.
• Analyze contractual requirements and prepare cost, schedule, risk, and opportunity estimates.
• Track technical, financial, cost, and schedule performance against contract milestones and system requirements.
• Coordinate resource allocation and staffing with department managers.
• Identify escalations, drive corrective actions, provide weekly progress metrics, and improve program management processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience managing complex programs where precision and attention to detail are critical.
• Experience in aerospace or a related industry.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical expertise and working knowledge of change management and performance evaluation processes.
• Experience with program schedules, earned value, risks, slack time, critical paths, budgets, and corrective action plans.
• Must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of spacecraft design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of JIRA, MS Project, or related tools.
• Knowledge of systems engineering best practices.
