AVP, Settlement Strategies

Location: Remote - USA; travel required as needed, approximately 20%.

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 annual

IMPAXX is a Medicare compliance company supporting the property and casualty industry, with a focus on workers’ compensation and liability claim settlements involving bodily injury.

What you will do

• Provide consultative guidance on Medicare Secondary Payer compliance, Medicare Set-Asides, structured settlements, and settlement strategies for complex claims.
• Participate in client discussions, file reviews, status meetings, and mitigation planning to support effective claim resolution.
• Serve as a technical resource for Business Development, Account Management, Sales, Marketing, and Settlement Consultant teams.
• Build client relationships, provide reporting, and identify opportunities to strengthen engagement, retention, and account growth.
• Monitor regulatory and industry developments, including Section 111 reporting, zero-dollar MSAs, court orders, and jurisdictional issues.
• Develop and deliver webinars, trainings, presentations, technical updates, blogs, podcasts, and other client education materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7–10 years of workers’ compensation claims experience, including at least 5 years of California workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Experience managing and settling complex workers’ compensation claims from inception through closure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced PowerPoint skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multifaceted projects.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a life insurance producer license and appointments with life insurance companies to support structured settlement annuities.

Nice to have

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer statutes, Medicare Set-Asides, structured settlements, Section 111 reporting, zero-dollar MSAs, court orders, and jurisdictional considerations.
• Experience with client education, technical content, consultative relationship management, account growth, or client retention.
