TL;DR
Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace) (Manufacturing Engineering/Aerospace): Developing and scaling manufacturing processes for jet propulsion components from prototype through production with an accent on NPI readiness, DFM/DFA collaboration, and production optimization. Focus on resolving complex manufacturing challenges, improving yield and throughput, and leading process readiness, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.

Location: Centennial, Colorado facility, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.

Salary: $120,000–$145,200 base salary per year.

What you will do

  • Own manufacturing engineering execution for assigned products, modules, and components throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead process definition, workflow development, NPI readiness, production readiness, and transition from prototype builds to production.
  • Drive DFM/DFA collaboration with Design Engineering and serve as the manufacturing representative on Integrated Product Teams.
  • Develop manufacturing requirements, tooling concepts, process documentation, routings, and technical standards.
  • Identify manufacturing risks and lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for cost, quality, schedule, and production issues.
  • Improve yield, cycle time, throughput, and manufacturability while mentoring junior engineers and guiding cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing engineering through NPI and production environments.
  • Experience with machining, assembly, additive manufacturing, or welding, plus structured problem-solving for manufacturing and quality challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production execution, technical project leadership, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace propulsion systems, rotating machinery, flight hardware, or additive manufacturing production.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Experience with CNC machining, precision assembly, welding, post-processing, AS9100 environments, LRIP, and production ramp activities.
  • Experience in startup, high-growth, or rapidly changing engineering organizations.
