Sr Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; hybrid work with 4 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Engineer, deploy, monitor, tune, evaluate, and maintain enterprise security technologies.
• Implement and support DLP, SIEM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity management, cloud security, database security, web gateways, email gateways, and related controls.
• Develop custom security rules and policies using threat intelligence, incident response, and SIEM analysis.
• Design security systems and project plans that improve network, host, and information-asset protection.
• Participate in emergency incident response activities and periodic information systems risk assessments.
• Prepare technical procedures, standards, requirements, proposals, and reports while communicating security requirements to management and security leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network engineering, network operations, IT, or application development in large and complex business environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing, tuning, scaling, and creating custom rule sets for Data Loss Prevention solutions.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, TCP/IP, OSI, routing and switching, VLAN segmentation, HTTP, SSH, SSL, DNS, Linux, databases, cloud storage, and data warehouses.
• Experience securing cloud deployments on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform; infrastructure as code; CI/CD; containers; Kubernetes; and DevOps environments.
• Background in scripting and automation with Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages, plus knowledge of microservice architecture.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a related bachelor’s degree, advanced security frameworks knowledge, and certifications such as CISSP, CCNP-Security, GIAC, CEH, or CPTS are preferred.
