Senior Software Engineer - Audience Targeting

What you will do

• Create and support Kotlin APIs and services for distributed audience-targeting systems.
• Develop reliable, high-volume services that operate at scale and process hundreds of terabytes of data daily.
• Work across Kotlin, Rust, PySpark, Kafka, relational databases, and other technologies.
• Develop and improve the core models and systems powering hirify.global Matched and other targeting products.
• Optimize existing products and explain complex technical issues to Product and Project Leads.
• Raise engineering standards through technical leadership and example.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Strong SQL skills, including table design, indexing, and database fundamentals.
• Experience with microservice-style architecture.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux/UNIX environments.
• Ability to work across technologies outside the primary specialization and understand the purpose and impact of the systems being built.

Nice to have

• Experience working with AI tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, and other LLM-based copilots.
