Systems Administrator (Linux)

Location: 100% onsite in a closed area in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles of Lexington and be a US citizen.

What you will do

• Manage, administer, and support secure IT systems and infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain physical and virtual servers and user workstations in RMF-compliant environments.
• Perform vulnerability remediation across secure and unclassified systems, including Category 1, 2, and 3 findings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot user and developer workstations across Windows and Linux.
• Support networking, system architecture, configuration management, documentation, and newly adopted technologies.

Requirements

• Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• US citizenship and onsite availability near Lexington, Massachusetts required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related technical discipline; equivalent technical skills and military experience may be considered.
• At least six years of Red Hat Linux systems administration experience.
• At least three years of experience with VMware, enterprise backup solutions, hardware, networking protocols, PowerShell, Ansible, centralized logging, and audit capabilities.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, VMware vCenter/ESXi/vSAN, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Automation Platform, GitHub/GitLab, Nessus/ACAS, authentication systems, and shell scripting.

Nice to have

• Top Secret/SCI clearance, Python scripting, and real-time Linux kernel tuning and performance analysis.
• Windows and macOS support, Juniper or Cisco experience, Docker or Podman, and STIG experience.
• Red Hat, VMware, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Linux Professional Institute certifications.
• Prior military experience.
