What you will do

• Define and drive the application and partner ecosystem strategy for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Develop frameworks, APIs, and tools that enable partners and developers to build, integrate, and scale applications.
• Help customers integrate specialized applications and expand their data and AI capabilities.
• Lead and mentor engineers across teams through technical guidance, architectural direction, and career development.
• Align technical roadmaps with product, engineering, and business development goals.
• Engage with open-source communities and represent Databricks at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building data-intensive applications or systems.
• Expertise in database systems, including SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and OLTP, and big data processing with Apache Spark and Flink.
• Experience designing high-performance REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs and managing integrations.
• Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks such as RBAC, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
