Test Technician II (RF Electronics)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Execute module and payload test plans and provide concise, timely reports of findings.
• Create, assemble, validate, and maintain documented test setups using instrumentation, cabling, fixtures, and devices under test.
• Test and troubleshoot complex electronics and RF circuitry from component to system level in collaboration with engineers.
• Organize antenna testing facilities and resources, including equipment and test-station materials.
• Validate measurement solutions and instrument, cable, and test-system performance.
• Support production and product-validation testing through custom fixtures, cable harnesses, and test documentation.

Requirements

• Must work on-site in Austin, Texas, on the 2nd shift.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in electronics, computer science, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of relevant work experience with active electronics, schematics, mechanical assembly documentation, soldering, PCB and cable rework, and automated test systems.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and related laboratory instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, documentation, communication, collaboration, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience testing active phased arrays or AESA systems.
• Electronics experience in aerospace or a related industry.
• Technical proficiency in analog and digital electronic/electrical principles.
• Familiarity with Python and making small changes to simple scripts.
• Experience with test automation such as LabVIEW.
