Power Electronics Intern (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Build and test satellite flight hardware with the power engineering team.
• Design test equipment to validate hardware across stressed operating conditions.
• Design prototype power electronics circuits and bring up and debug designs in the laboratory.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing.
• Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Interest in learning about and designing power electronics systems.
• Hands-on hardware development experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software.
• Experience with SPICE-based simulators such as LTSpice, PSPICE, or ADS.
• Soldering and rework experience.
• Familiarity with EE lab equipment and switched-mode converter design.
• Experience with Python.
