Senior Product UX Designer (AI/Fintech)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site with expected commuting to the San Jose office four days a week, Monday through Thursday.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end experience for core products from planning through launch.
• Design AI-powered and agentic workflows for finance teams, including explainability, confidence signals, human-in-the-loop review, and error handling.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, the Principal Designer, cross-functional teams, and Fortune 500 clients.
• Improve usability and interaction details across complex product experiences.
• Contribute to a design system with tokens, component documentation, and clear specifications for designers and AI-assisted development.
• Use AI tools for research synthesis, prototyping, and testing ideas with real data; mentor designers through critiques.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and well-crafted user experiences.
• Experience designing B2B and/or fintech products.
• Strong prototyping skills across different fidelities, including functional or coded prototypes.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system and conducting user research.
• Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems with cross-functional teams in startup environments, plus strong communication, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise finance workflows such as accounts payable, expenses, audit, or compliance.
• Familiarity with frontend development.
