Commercial & Procurement Specialist - Defence & Security - Consultant (Procurement/Commercial Management): Designing and delivering complex procurements, commercial strategies, contracts, and supplier engagements for defence, infrastructure, digital services, and public-sector clients with an accent on high-spend categories, tender evaluation, negotiations, and contract transition. Focus on managing major procurements, improving procurement functions, resolving commercial disputes, and delivering complex client assignments.
Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working with client-site attendance two days per week

What you will do
- Design and run major procurements for complex equipment, digital services, infrastructure, and professional services.
- Develop procurement and contracting strategies, commercial agreements, business cases, and market approaches.
- Manage supplier engagement, tender evaluations, negotiations, deal closure, and contract awards.
- Support transitions from legacy frameworks and contracts and establish processes for major contract management and business change.
- Review procurement and commercial functions and lead improvements in category management, supplier relationship management, and sustainable supply chains.
- Provide commercial management for complex assignments and support agreement renegotiations and dispute resolution.
Requirements
- Experience with large and complex procurements involving equipment, digital services, or infrastructure.
- Understanding of the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tender evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and commercial strategy.
- Experience advising on contract terms and designing agreements for specific markets.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with major government procurements and approval processes is highly desired.
- Project management or financial management skills are advantageous; MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status is desirable.
