TL;DR
Global Operations Allocation Manager (Hardware Supply Chain): Managing constrained hardware inventory, exceptional orders, and fulfillment priorities across Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Warehousing with an accent on demand validation, financial alignment, and international logistics. Focus on allocating scarce inventory during stockouts, resolving cross-functional escalations, and building standardized allocation playbooks for multi-quarter operations.

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; on-site at the office 5 days a week. Travel to customer sites, 3PL facilities, and partner locations may be required approximately 10–20% of the time.

Annual pay range: $120,000–$160,000 USD, including base compensation and commissions where applicable.

What you will do

  • Review and approve large, exceptional, and out-of-cycle hardware orders against supply capabilities and business strategy.
  • Allocate constrained inventory across customer accounts using strategic tiering, contractual commitments, revenue plans, and financial targets.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Account Managers to validate true customer demand and prevent inventory hoarding.
  • Act as the final decision-maker for fulfillment priorities during stockouts and supply disruptions.
  • Align allocation decisions with quarterly revenue, margin, and inventory turnover goals in partnership with Finance.
  • Build standardized allocation playbooks, rules of engagement, and escalation procedures for Sales and Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Logistics, Order Management, or Supply Chain Program Management.
  • Direct experience with physical hardware, complex industrial equipment, or capital assets.
  • Experience with multi-pallet freight, WHS-to-WHS transfers, US-to-international shipping, Incoterms, customs, and freight forwarding.
  • Ability to validate technical equipment specifications, trailer or vehicle configurations, and regional compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing multi-quarter rollouts with standard templates, ERPs, and CRMs.
  • Must be independently authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
