Sr Manager, Software (Aerospace)

Salary: $197,004–$275,805.60 annual base pay for Washington applicants

What you will do

• Lead software engineering, data, and architecture practices and standards within a multifunctional team.
• Organize Agile delivery, including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Set goals, define metrics, and drive continuous improvement across development and operations.
• Hire, develop, and motivate software engineers while providing development goals and promotion guidance.
• Partner with product management and business stakeholders to define quarterly objectives and key results.
• Manage the software roadmap supporting space vehicle quality and configuration management, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and flight operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading and running software development teams.
• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying sophisticated production systems.
• Strong understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, including coding standards, configuration management, deployment, testing, and operations.
• Ability to understand technical components in depth and drive overall systems architecture.
• Experience delivering technical roadmaps tied to clear business outcomes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee under export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience applying software engineering principles to enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting design, manufacturing, flight operations, or enterprise operations software.
• Background in distributed computing, service or microservice architectures, enterprise-wide systems, and AI tools or technologies.
