Senior, Software Engineer - Fullstack/Mobile (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite role at 1375 Crossman Ave

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Build high-quality native mobile experiences for Walmart Business customers.
• Deliver scalable features for shopping, account management, orders, payments, tax-exempt workflows, and store capabilities.
• Contribute across mobile applications, backend services, APIs, order lifecycle systems, and web frontend experiences.
• Use AI-powered developer tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and delivery.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, observability, experimentation, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, platform, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience with Kotlin or Swift, architecture patterns, performance optimization, testing, and production-quality app delivery.
• Ability to contribute across mobile, backend services, APIs, order lifecycle systems, and web frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered developer tools and AI application concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and agentic workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of software engineering experience, or 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, collaboration, and ability to work through ambiguity.
• Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, digital accessibility, and inclusive product development.
