Wastewater Regen Process Engineer (Wastewater Treatment)

Location: Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States. Onsite process engineering role with travel of up to 10%.

Expected compensation: $98,964–$120,957, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Provide process engineering oversight for regenerable ion exchange operations, including ion exchange vessels, distillation, hot oil heating, high-pressure reverse osmosis, and thin-film evaporation.
• Optimize wastewater treatment effectiveness using operational data, process modeling, data analysis, and technical evaluations.
• Develop and maintain standard work and process control procedures for treatment process units.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses, including collaboration with the EHS Laboratory on PFAS analytical data.
• Support Operations with troubleshooting and corrective actions, including availability outside traditional work hours for equipment issues.
• Participate in project planning and implementation of process improvements that improve safety and productivity while reducing environmental impact and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, completed and verified before starting.
• Experience with wastewater and water treatment processes is beneficial.
• Experience with chemical process units and environmental work in an industrial or manufacturing setting is beneficial.
• Experience with spreadsheet or database applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, or SharePoint is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.
• Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship. The role may involve access to information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws and may require assessment of U.S. person status.
