Sr Acquisition Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: On-site at Wright-Patterson AFB in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States. Travel requirements are minimal, approximately 20%.

What you will do

• Lead acquisition processes for advanced aircraft programs in compliance with Department of Defense policies and regulations.
• Develop acquisition strategies, plans, documentation, Requests for Proposals, and technical evaluations.
• Manage statements of work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, and data rights or intellectual property matters.
• Coordinate engineering, logistics, finance, and other cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
• Advise on acquisition risks, cost estimation, contract negotiations, program performance, and corrective actions.
• Prepare program status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders and support test and evaluation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 12–15 years of acquisition management experience within the Department of Defense or a related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience managing complex acquisition programs, with strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with aircraft systems or related aerospace programs.
• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and other program management tools.
• Experience writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals.
• Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification and knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC policies, processes, and procedures.
