Journeyman Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Defense contractor supporting the AWACS Division and airborne Battle Management Command & Control modernization programs.

What you will do

• Support program managers and Integrated Product Team leads with acquisition planning, execution, and delivery of warfighter capabilities.
• Manage and advise on cost, schedule, performance, program health, risks, and integration across the E-7 and AWACS programs.
• Support acquisition strategies, including traditional, Middle Tier of Acquisition, and Urgent Capability pathways, in accordance with DoD and Air Force policies.
• Contribute to RFPs, source-selection activities, contractual correspondence, and tracking of prime-contractor deliverables.
• Prepare acquisition reports, statutory documentation, senior-level briefings, schedules, and recurring program documentation.
• Support risk boards, funding documents, cost and schedule reduction initiatives, life-cycle logistics, and operational supportability planning.

Requirements

• Active US Secret clearance required and must be maintainable.
• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in the Department of Defense; or 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Experience with program management, acquisition processes, cost and schedule analysis, risk management, and performance reporting.
• Ability to communicate professionally and collaborate with government, contractor, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and DoD-mandated or specialized reporting systems.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with simulators or trainers.
