Medical Assistant PRN - Jackson, MS

Location: MS-Ridgeland, Mississippi, serving the Jackson area

Salary: $21.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and skill level.

What you will do

• Room patients, clean and stock exam rooms, review medical information, and collect updated health data.
• Take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications under provider direction and written orders.
• Support individualized care plans by identifying care gaps and coordinating with the care team.
• Perform front-desk duties, including scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical records, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Document patient information accurately, process test results, conduct outreach, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and may be required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
