Medical Assistant-Cardiology Part Time Days

Location: Glenview clinic, 2701 Patriot Boulevard, Glenview, Illinois, United States. Part-time, 24 hours per week, with day shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; start and end times flex between 8:00–9:00 AM and 4:30–5:30 PM.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist physicians and licensed medical staff with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, and sterilize examination rooms, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain vaccine, medication, equipment, instrument, and supply inventories.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility to sit for an approved certification examination.
• Certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA must be completed within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role and strong computer skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Glenview clinic on the stated part-time day schedule.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
