Senior Risk Analyst

Location: San Diego, United States. Flexibility to accommodate meetings with global colleagues across time zones is expected.

Annual base salary: $155,000–$175,000.

What you will do

• Monitor fraud performance, transaction trends, identity signals, operational indicators, and emerging risks across hirify.global operating companies.
• Lead analytical investigations across digital and physical goods, accounts, entitlements, payments, identity signals, and platform behavior.
• Use advanced SQL to investigate large datasets, validate fraud hypotheses, identify behavioral patterns, and develop scalable reporting logic.
• Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, alerts, and reporting frameworks for fraud activity and mitigation effectiveness.
• Evaluate fraud controls, detection rules, risk signals, and operational processes to improve precision and reduce customer friction.
• Partner with fraud, risk, identity, data science, machine learning, payments, and platform stakeholders on recommendations and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in fraud analytics, risk strategy, or a related quantitative field.
• Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience investigating large-scale datasets in high-risk environments.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, or Splunk.
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies, risk scoring, and the fraud lifecycle in e-commerce or digital platforms.
• Experience with big data platforms such as Snowflake, rule engines, and experimentation frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; strong communication and ethical judgment are required.

• Experience using approved AI tools to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, synthesize complex inputs, and support documentation.
