Sr Analyst, Fraud Analytics - Weekends Required (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office work on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The role is scheduled Thursday through Monday and requires weekend availability.

Base salary: USD $60,000–$75,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement fraud rules using segmentation, predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, and related analytical methods.
• Support real-time account escalations, offline analysis of emerging threat vectors, and fraud investigation communications.
• Build dashboards and monitor key performance indicators using data visualization tools.
• Analyze limited and third-party data sets to identify fraud insights, recommend solutions, and reduce fraud losses.
• Build models and assist with deploying strategies and services into production, measuring impact, and updating them as needed.
• Present ad-hoc analyses, model behavior, recommendations, and results to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, statistics, business analytics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of analytical experience, data analytics experience, and experience using SQL, R, and Python.
• Experience with statistics and machine learning modeling techniques through coursework or professional work.
• Ability to translate analytical results into clearly defined, implementable fraud strategies and rules.
• Strong quantitative, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Availability for the Thursday-through-Monday schedule, including weekends, and the hybrid Chicago office schedule.
