Fraud Data Scientist (Credit/Debit Card Transaction & Strategy)

Location: Columbus, Ohio; in-office role

Base salary: $91,000–$169,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Analyze large datasets to evaluate business performance, credit risk, operational risk, and portfolio outcomes.
• Develop and implement analytical methods, predictive models, segmentation, and targeting for card and portfolio strategies.
• Analyze and monitor credit and debit card authorization strategies, including testing, baselines, and performance reporting.
• Design reporting suites and communicate analytical findings to business, Finance, Risk, credit, data, and model development partners.
• Help establish credit risk appetite, policies, and procedures while improving lending decisions, revenue, and loss prevention.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and experience.
• Direct experience with or contribution to credit card or debit card authorization strategies, modeling, analysis, or monitoring.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, statistical modeling, data science, and analytics.
• Knowledge of Spark/Python, optimization frameworks, graph/linkage analysis, data correlation, and visualization.
• Must work in-office in Columbus, Ohio.
