Director, Risk Business Partner - Risk & Security Solutions (RAS) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco, CA office; at least 3 days in the office required. The role requires 5–10% travel.

Salary: $145,100–$273,200 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary risk advisor to the Risk and Security Solutions organization, influencing strategy, product development, operations, and growth initiatives.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate enterprise, operational, technology, model, regulatory, and strategic risks.
• Evaluate risks in fraud prevention, risk scoring, identity verification, authentication, predictive analytics, machine learning, and automated decisioning.
• Lead risk assessments for major initiatives, product launches, partnerships, transformations, and emerging business opportunities.
• Connect the Risk Appetite Framework with business strategy and drive execution across PRR, RCSA, TLMP, Model Risk Management, and hirify.global Data Assessment programs.
• Present risk themes and portfolio insights to executives, support regulator engagement, and strengthen governance, resiliency, controls, and risk culture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Experience in enterprise, operational, technology, strategic, or product risk management.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship management, analytical, and executive influence skills.
• Experience working across large, matrixed, global organizations.
• Experience supporting fraud, identity, authentication, AI/ML, analytics, or data product organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge of payments, fraud ecosystems, risk products, data governance, and model risk is preferred.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience in financial services, payments, fintech, technology, consulting, or digital platforms.
• MBA, Master's degree, FRM, CRISC, CISA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering, data science, and analytics organizations.
