Engineering Manager, Deployment

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; or Sunnyvale, CA, United States

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Build, manage, and develop Network Production Engineering teams across multiple sites and time zones.
• Lead deployment of HPC and GPU-based AI infrastructure across concurrent site build-outs.
• Drive adoption of ZTP provisioning, Ansible configuration, CI/CD pipelines, and automated network turn-up workflows.
• Coordinate delivery plans, staffing, reporting, risk escalation, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
• Manage structured cabling vendors, remote-hands providers, and data center partners against SLAs and quality standards.
• Ensure burn-in, site acceptance testing, handoff quality, and integration of frontend and backend network architectures.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in network engineering or data center deployment, including 2+ years managing engineers in large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Experience building and retaining high-performing technical teams and delivering multiple complex projects across sites, time zones, and vendors.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, optics, 400G/800G networking, leaf-spine fabrics, Arista, Juniper, NVIDIA-Mellanox, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP.
• Working knowledge of Python, Ansible, ZTP-based deployment automation, and CI/CD patterns.
• Experience managing vendor SLAs, escalating performance issues, and communicating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Architecture stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in hyperscale or ISP environments.
