Staff AI Organizational Architect

Estimated base salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and evolve the company's internal AI technical strategy across models, vendors, platforms, frameworks, and deployment architectures.
• Track enterprise AI usage, adoption, and spend, connecting investments to business outcomes and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Advise executives, business leaders, and engineering teams on AI use cases, experiments, implementation approaches, and technology choices.
• Turn successful AI experiments into repeatable and supportable capabilities while challenging low-value work and unnecessary complexity.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal on responsible AI standards, decision rights, review processes, controls, and escalation paths.
• Prototype and validate AI models, APIs, and frameworks through direct implementation and working code.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, evaluating, or implementing production AI systems.
• 2+ years working with LLMs and model APIs in product contexts, including RAG, agents, or fine-tuning at scale.
• 2+ years working in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment such as financial services, fintech, or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of AI platforms, agentic systems, AI economics, enterprise security, data privacy, technical standards, and governance.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or SaaS.
• Prior Staff, Principal, or VP-level individual contributor experience with cross-functional scope.
• Experience building AI enablement programs, communities of practice, or governance councils.
• Familiarity with formal AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
• Relevant master's degree or certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture.
