OT Infrastructure Engineer / Consultant (VMware)

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, and deploy physical and virtual server infrastructure for secure OT and industrial environments.
• Build and support VMware, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP environments.
• Host, install, and integrate OT and industrial applications with client, vendor, network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams.
• Implement high availability, storage, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform infrastructure health checks, troubleshooting, migrations, upgrades, testing, validation, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production go-live activities.
• Produce technical designs, build guides, configuration and as-built documentation, test plans, and validation evidence while providing client consultancy.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience building and supporting Windows Server environments and deploying physical and virtual servers.
• Experience with VMware, Linux systems including RHEL, application hosting, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of high availability, clustering, enterprise server hardware, SAN, NAS, backup, disaster recovery, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Experience hardening, patching, and managing Windows and Linux system lifecycles, including integration testing, validation, and commissioning.
• Ability to produce technical designs, diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and test procedures, with strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience in OT/ICS, industrial, energy, utilities, or Critical National Infrastructure environments is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and standards such as IEC 62443 or NCSC CAF.
