Senior Manager, AdTech Engineering (AdTech)

Location: Hybrid work at the Oakville, Canada location; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams across front-end, data engineering, and platform integration.
• Define technical roadmaps and architecture for user-facing platforms, analytical dashboards, data pipelines, and real-time ad delivery systems.
• Oversee DSP/SSP integrations, DMP synchronization, event streaming, machine-learning workflows, and high-throughput data processing.
• Manage vendor selection, technical due diligence, contract negotiations, build-versus-buy decisions, and third-party integrations.
• Own software lifecycle standards covering code quality, performance, data governance, CI/CD, reliability, security, accessibility, and privacy compliance.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Ad Operations, executives, and external AdTech partners to align commercial objectives with scalable platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of software engineering and data experience, including 6+ years of direct people management across multi-disciplinary or multi-team engineering units.
• Enterprise AdTech experience with programmatic platforms, DSP/SSP systems, DMPs, audience signals, and real-time ad delivery networks.
• Strong technical depth in JavaScript, TypeScript, modern client frameworks, data visualization, distributed data processing, cloud data warehouses, SQL, and event-streaming pipelines.
• Experience designing high-availability APIs, microservices, and hybrid cloud infrastructures for high-volume behavioral data.
• Knowledge of digital advertising privacy laws, consent frameworks, data governance, vendor ecosystems, and executive-level technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Angular, Vue, D3.js, ECharts, Apache Spark, Airflow, Google Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Snowflake, Python, and Scala.
• Experience with cookieless identity solutions, emerging AdTech standards, marketplace shifts, and machine-learning workflows for campaign optimization or audience segmentation.
