Controller (SaaS)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end accounting function, including client billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and monthly close.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Customer Success on contract setup and billing accuracy.
• Establish and improve processes for invoicing, collections, revenue tracking, and cost allocations.
• Manage general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, journal entries, audits, compliance reporting, and tax filings.
• Evaluate and optimize ERP systems, billing platforms, internal controls, and financial operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or senior-level role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Experience building and scaling accounting operations in a fast-growing company.
• Familiarity with ERP and billing tools such as Rillet, QuickBooks, Stripe, Ramp, or Aleph.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Previous startup or high-growth experience and comfort with cross-functional collaboration are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
• CPA certification.
