Senior Program Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; onsite at 121 Seaport Blvd

Salary: $114,480–$170,070 USD annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Plan, execute, implement, and report on complex projects and medium-to-large programs across business and technology areas.
• Translate business problems and expected benefits into objectives, outcomes, delivery plans, milestones, and decision points.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost drivers, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, quality, and delivery readiness.
• Build relationships with sponsors and senior leaders, communicate recommendations and trade-offs, and influence business strategy.
• Lead organizational readiness and change efforts, manage vendor commitments, and support stakeholder adoption.
• Improve delivery methodologies, capture lessons learned, and coach members of the project management community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading large projects or medium-to-large programs, typically with budgets of $8M–$15M.
• Expert knowledge of project, program, or portfolio management principles, governance, controls, tools, and delivery practices.
• Experience leading complex initiatives through matrixed, cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Strong financial acumen covering budgets, forecasts, cost drivers, trade-offs, and investment decisions.
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, organizational readiness, stakeholder acceptance, and competing priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, project management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Financial services or management consulting experience, especially in retirement or employee benefits.
• Experience with business transformation, technology modernization, enterprise change, portfolio oversight, or complex vendor relationships.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project or program management certification.
• Master’s degree in business, technology, project management, or a related field.
