Director, Technology Project Management (Annuity Modernization)

Location: Hybrid schedule with two days per week in the Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; or Scottsdale, Arizona office. Remote internal associates may also be considered. The position may be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states.

Salary: $149,000–$223,000 expected starting annual range; $149,000–$262,000 national annual range.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Annuity Modernization Program and its portfolio of technology transformation initiatives.
• Modernize policy administration, digital capabilities, data, integrations, and operational platforms across multiple workstreams.
• Establish delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, governance forums, risk controls, and executive reporting.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, resource plans, investment portfolios, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
• Partner with technology, product, operations, business, and executive stakeholders to translate strategy into delivery roadmaps.
• Build and develop delivery organizations while promoting Agile, Lean, secure engineering, AI-enabled ways of working, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven success leading enterprise-scale technology modernization and business transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar programs and cross-functional teams across technology, business, operations, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, SAFe, hybrid delivery methods, program governance, financial management, risk management, and dependency management.
• At least 10 years of experience in technology or a related field, including five years delivering outcomes or projects.
• Three to five years of management experience is preferred, with demonstrated executive communication, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable education and experience in information systems, engineering, mathematics, computer science, data analytics, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• Experience modernizing policy administration platforms.
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud, data, digital, or customer experience transformations.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
• SPC, PMP, Agile, Lean, or related technology delivery certification.
